This summer, residents will see a number of improvements in the Village. The Village will be cooperating with the State of Wisconsin’s DOT as it resurfaces portions of Durand Ave. (STH 11). This project is scheduled for the summer of 2008. At least one lane of traffic in both directions will be open at all times. Although this work may be an inconvenience, Durand Avenue certainly is in poor condition and this resurfacing will be a major improvement.
Wisconsin’s DNR regulations are mandating that the Village modify various dry detention pond into wet retention ponds. During the summer you will see work being done on at the corner of Rayne Road and 90th Street and along Venice Avenue in the Renaissance Park. Once completed these ponds will not only control storm water but will also have walking paths, benches and other amenities so that residents can enjoy the natural setting created by these ponds.
